Thinking of disposing your Christmas tree in a fireplace? Here's why you shouldn't
While Santa may be able to sneak in and out of homes on Christmas Eve through the magic of a fireplace, we feel it’s sometimes necessary to remind our local customers that the best way to dispose of a Christmas tree is to toss it out or recycle it.
A very lucky family that was fortunate things didn’t turn out worse when they tried to burn their Christmas tree whole. From the McKinney, TX Fire Department’s Facebook post:

Christmas tree recycling is made available in our community through TreeCycle and recommended by the El Paso County and Colorado Springs government websites. This year they are offering extended hours if you still have a tree to throw out:
